A College Designed for International Students

Since 1994, we’ve helped thousands of students to achieve outstanding results and join some of the world’s best universities. We are recognised as one of the best places in the UK for international students to live, learn and thrive.

A Gold Standard Qualification for University Entry

A Levels are the ‘go to’ qualification if you want to gain a place at a top UK university. They are the traditional access route to university study, and by far the best option if you want to apply to universities such as Cambridge or Oxford.

In 2019, 84% of our A Level students received offers for one or more of the elite ‘Russell Group’ of UK universities. Every year around 30% of our students join one of the top 5 UK universities; Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial and UCL.
We’ve created a unique ‘Pre Degree Diploma Programme’ for our A Level students. Bringing university preparation activities together with the chance to explore your chosen subject in greater depth. It is designed to make you a more attractive candidate to top universities.
Abbey College Cambridge students have a proud record of success in national and international academic competitions such as the British Mathematical Olympiad and the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. Success in these competitions helps you demonstrate advanced knowledge and passion for your subject.
In our classrooms, class sizes are small and teaching personal. Our Exceptional teachers employ the best teaching methods, using the latest technology, to immerse you in your subjects and deliver more than just subject knowledge. At Abbey Cambridge we teach passion.

Our college community is made up of eight houses, with each member of the school (Staff and students) becoming a member of a house. Abbey houses are all to do with pride, friendship, team spirit, and competition. The passion a student develops for their house is at the core of our outstanding pastoral care.

Your personal tutor will be an experienced member of our teaching staff, who will provide support throughout your studies. You’ll meet with them daily as part of your tutor group, and then weekly and termly for in-depth personal guidance and feedback sessions.

We run weekly ‘Abbey Inspires’ academic evening lectures and workshops, where students can learn more about and explore topics related to their subjects that aren’t covered by the traditional syllabus. Having this higher level knowledge provides you with a real advantage when it comes to making your university application.
